Test Parts 4 of 4

The laser sintered steel from Shapeways tapped easily. The tapped hole was not drilled but instead was designed into the part to conserve material.

Here is a picture of the latch next to a laptop lock which uses an entirely different patented mechanism.

The laptop can now be securely mounted on the robot. Conveniently, the Dell Latitude 2100 and 2110 have lock connectors on both sides.

The next version will need a few changes such as covering the exposed screw, but for now it's time to laser cut some parts to get this mounted on a robot.
