The RoboticLab of the Applied Univerity of Gelsenkirchen has produced an extensive series of tutorial videos available in both German and English to help you get started using ROS.
Next, William Woodall has produced an excellent start at documenting the drivers for the Segway RMP Robotic Mobility Platform. The package currently provides support for the RMP50, RMP100, and RMP200 robot platforms and will soon support the RMP400.
